- If you are a recent high school graduate (First-Year Student), you will complete your advising/course selection online for your first semester. You will access advising through the
Owldone Portal. You can also visit the
University Advising Services
website for additional information about advising/course selection through the EZ Advising.
- First-Year Students with an AA degree do not complete EZ Advising you will be advised through the college of your intended major. For more information. please contact the Office for New Student Orientation at (561) 297-2733 or orientme@gbookit.com to arrange a meeting with an academic advisor. If you would like to contact the college of your major, links to each college can be found below.
- If you are a Transfer Student with fewer than 30 credits hours, you will complete your advising/course selection online for your first semester. You will access advising through the Owldone Portal. You can also visit the University Advising Services website for additional information about advising/course selection through the Online Advising & Resource System (EZ Advising).
- If you are a Transfer Student with 30 or more credit hours, a First-Year Student with an AA degree, or Second Bachelor's student, you will be advised through the college of your intended major. For more information please contact the Office for New Student Orientation at (561) 297-2733 or orientme@gbookit.com to arrange a meeting with an academic advisor. If you would like to contact the college of your major, go to the Advising website.
- If you are a Graduate Student, go to the Advising website to find your specific college advisor.
Appointments with your academic advisor are made through the Success Network.
YOU HAVE 2 WAYS OF ACCESSING YOUR SUCCESS NETWORK:
- Sign in to MYFAU and use the link labeled "Success Network".
- Or use the blue button at the top of the page labeled "Login for students"
If you are unable to access your Success Network, visit the University Advising Services website or the Student Services Office within the college of your major.
All entering freshmen or transfer students with less than 60 credits must fulfill the university's General Education (Gen Ed) (formerly IFP) requirements as part of their pursuit of the baccalaureate degree. While the Gen Ed courses do not necessarily relate to the major, they do provide a foundation of knowledge that all well-educated students should possess. The Gen Ed is comprised of a total of 36 credit hours.
- 6 hours of Communication
- 6 hours of Humanities
- 6 hours of Social Science
- 6 hours of Natural Science
- 6 hours of Mathematics
- 6 hours of Additional Enrichment (completion of 6 credits from Humanities, Social Science, or Natural Science)

- If you would like to know how transfer credits, if any, applied to the Gen Ed (formerly IFP), please submit a Gen Ed Audit Request
